The Titanic sinks killing 1500 people

   Titanic is the luxury liner built at the beginning of the 20 th century.

It was the ship which attached greater importance than to speed to luxury.

The ship was made safety so it was called a non-sunken ship.

Titanic left for the first voyage in　April 10, 1912, the ship left from Britain to New York at that time.

The captain is Edward J smith.  There were more than 2200 people.

Within the passenger liner, people are enjoying themselves freely, respectively.

People enjoyed watching movies ,dancing , eating the delicious dinner, singing , seeing the concert and so on.

 

When the offing of Newfoundland of North Atlantic Ocean was arrived at 23:40 on April 14, the watch of Titanic discovered the height 20 meter a little less than iceberg 450 m ahead with the naked eye.

 

April 14 midnight , suddenly the ship was attacked a big shake!  People thought that it was a earthquake.

Some people said “ this ship was attacked iceberg but there is no danger because Titanic is very safety.”

People believed it.   

 

Since the ship had changed the direction, contact of a ship and an iceberg was about 10 seconds.

20 minutes pass since a collision.

 

The most familiar with titanic structure Thomas Andrews told “ Titanic was attacked iceberg so this ship will sink soon…”with serious face.

 

The captain was very shocking and was not able to do movement.

1 hour after a collision no less than 25,000 tons of sea water had already flowed into the interior of a ship.

 

1:40 on April 15 the bow began to sink and even the crew who was continuing power generation escaped.

The child screamed.　Everyone may want to scream.

2:20 on April 15 Titanic breaks into two with a frightful large sound from a center, people were thrown out from the ship. And the hull was divided into three and disappeared in the sea.

Surviving people continued waiting for help.　The water temperature was very cold so people seemed to be freeze.

 

When coming the help ship , people want to cry because they were relieved.

It was the dawn on the April 15 that the rescue ship arrived there.

 

The ship left for New York with 705 people who was survivor people.

In this way, the tragedy of the Titanic number took out 1500 dead persons and 700 survivors, and closed the curtain.
